Seckman FBLA Members Attend District Conference
Members of the Seckman High School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Chapter recently attended the 2015 District 9 FBLA Leadership Conference held on February 3, 2015 at Chesterfield Mall. District 9 consists of over 30 schools competing in many different business subjects. FBLA is a career and technical student organization for all high school students participating in business programs. This chapter is dedicated to teaching students how to incorporate their own knowledge into the world of business.
Seckman had many students involved in this competition. These students and their subjects include:
Accounting I: John Kutz (2ND Place) , Sara Manley (5th Place), and Sarah Tinker
Accounting II: Jacob Buechel (1st Place) and Terri Coulter (2nd Place)
Business Calculations: Bradley Fabanich (6th Place), Jacob Buechel (5th Place), and Grace Krenning
Computer Applications: Cheyenne Highley (7th Place) and Zoe Eisele (8th Place)
Impromptu Speaking: Ashley Berger (3rd Place)
Sales Presentation and Healthcare Administration: Lejla Omerovic (5th Place)
Introduction to Business: Dalila Omerovic and Kayla Bowen
Personal Finance: Abbi Sieve, Malena Buol, Kaitlyn Bauer, Amanda Dreyer, and Zoe Eisele
Sports and Entertainment Management: Braden Bauer (6th Place), Jordan Cooper (6th Place), and Ray Killian (6th Place).
Jacob Buechel, Justin Kutz, and Sara Manley will represent Seckman High School at FBLA State Competition in Springfield, MO, April 12th-14th.
Janice House and Jessica Kennedy are the Seckman Chapter Advisors and accompanied the students to the District 9 Conference.
