ARNOLD • On Wednesday, approximately 260 district REACH students competed in a Math Equations Tournament at the Fox C-6 Service Center. REACH is the district’s program for gifted learners. “This is some very high-level math these students are doing,” said Krystal Hargis, a teacher in the district’s REACH center.

The tournament saw students from grades 5-8 competing. The top scoring students from each grade level will go on to compete in a St. Louis-area tournament at Washington University in St. Louis. “We have some respect at the Wash U competition,” Ms. Hargis said. “Our students always place.”

The top scoring students from the district tournament are below. Congratulations to all who participated and good luck to these students as they go on to represent the district at Washington University!
