The Fox C-6 counselors would like to welcome our students back for a wonderful new school year. We hope everyone had a restful summer. The Guidance staff would like to remind our families of the new honors system being implemented for the graduating class of 2012. From this year forward, the Fox C-6 school district will honor students who have met specific eligibility above and beyond graduation requirements.

 

The three honors tiers are Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude and Summa Cum Laude. To be eligible for these honors, students must meet the requirements listed below:

 

CUM LAUDE

  • Cumulative grade point average of 3.6 – 3.99 at the end of eight semesters
  • ACT score of a 22-27 or 1030-1200 on the SAT
  • Score at the proficient level or higher on all state assessments
  • Complete two extra-curricular activities
  • Earn 27 credits toward graduation
  • Fulfill the State of Missouri College Preparatory requirements

 

MAGNA CUM LAUDE

  • Cumulative grade point average of 4.0 - 4.19 at the end of eight semesters
  • Score at the proficient level or higher on all state assessments
  • ACT score of a 28-30 or 1260-1340 on the SAT
  • Score a 3 or higher on one Advanced Placement exam as a Junior
  • Complete two extra-curricular activities
  • Earn 27 credits toward graduation
  • Fulfill the State of Missouri College Preparatory requirements

 

SUMMA CUM LAUDE

  • Cumulative grade point average of 4.2 or higher at the end of eight semesters
  • Score at the proficient level or higher on all state assessments
  • ACT score of a 31 or higher or 1380 or higher on the SAT
  • Score one 4 or higher on one Advanced Placement exam as a Junior
  • Complete four extra-curricular activities
  • Earn 27 credits toward graduation
  • Fulfill the State of Missouri College Preparatory requirements    

 

All students must take the ACT although they can use the SAT to meet the eligibility criteria.
